James has spent over 20 years in the media business, in the UK, China, and since 2002 in Australia - where he has had a phenomenal track record, rejuvenating OMD from scratch to a winning team. In 2006 he stepped out of OMD to follow his passion of talent search and on-boarding by setting up The Ladder.

Commenting on his appointment, Ashutosh Srivastava, CEO, Mindshare Asia Pacific said "We are delighted to have James on board, and could not have wished for a better candidate in Australia to lead Mindshare. James's appointment comes close on the heels of the decision of the current CEO, John Petropoulos, to step down from the agency after a successful 12 years - initially as the MD of the Melbourne office, and since late 2008, as CEO, Australia.

Commenting on his decision to join Mindshare, James said "whilst I've thoroughly enjoyed running my own business, I have also missed being immersed within the business of media. Technology is changing the landscape at a rapid rate which has made for an even more exciting environment than the one I left only 3 years ago. Hence the opportunity to jump back in and work with some terrific clients and talented individuals for one of the world's smartest communications companies here in Australia is simply too good to miss."

Mark McCraith, currently General Manager of Mindshare Melbourne will assume the role of Managing Director, Mindshare Melbourne reporting directly into James Greet. Tracie Michael, Sydney Managing Director, will also report to James Greet.
